Because we have lived in a world that does not serve God all of our lives, we often think that this life is about doing whatever it takes to make us feel good no matter the cost. However, God has a plan for our lives that is so much bigger than our own feelings and desires! If we give ourselves completely over to Him by loving Him, learning about Him, and obeying His word, we will reject this world and find ourselves right in the middle of His will. In the end, we will either sacrifice for our own desires which leaves us empty or we will sacrifice for His which will leaves us fulfilled.
