Remember when you were a kid, that moment by moment feeling of awe and wonder... The feeling that your parents were completely invinsible, and everything in life is perfect. That's what it feels like to love God! Loving God will give you the greatest satisfaction in life.
So why are we so far away from loving God in our day to day life? It's because we've let other things become more important to us than God himself. Our job, our income, our self-image... All these things become idols in our heart and prevent us from having pure love, worship and devotion to our creator. But if we're willing to let go of our idols and spend time in prayer and worship, then over-time that child-like purity will seep back into our heart.
