The local Church is where you can build meaningful community. Community can be messy because it involves flawed, imperfect people. But the local Church is a community where the worship of God is completely normal and encouraged.
It's the only community where you can learn about the true nature of God, and learn about His Love for you. It's the only community where everyone is being encouraged to love you, even though you don't deserve it. And the only community where you can freely love others, even though you know they don't deserve it anymore than you do!
The local Church is the only place where you can have open, honest, loving, lasting community and freely fulfill the purpose of life which is to love God and love other people.

10For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falleth, and hath not another to lift him up.

The local Church provides you Godly support through the hardtimes. The relationships you develop are invaluable as you navigate the inevitable rough roads in life. What's more, you get to be a support and anchor for other people who need you to guide them through their hard times.
Two are better than one, three are better than two... and a whole Church body is the best of all!
