ASV | Ephesians 1:3 - 1:14, 1:18 - 1:20

3Blessed `be' the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly `places' in Christ:

4even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in love:

5having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved:

7in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,

8which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,

9making known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him

10unto a dispensation of the fulness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth; in him, `I say,'

All that God has done shows His greatness!  This world He's created, the Joy He's given us, the Love, the Grace, our awareness of His Glory all should make us worship God with a full heart.  We should be immersed in worship all the time!

Unfortunately our attachment to the physical world diminishes our ability to worship God :(  What we see, how we feel, and what we want, all blind us to the reality of God's Glory resting on us right now this very moment!  Those are the reasons why our love for the world undermine the life God created for us to live!

However, if we take our focus off our world - and suffer for God's love, like Jesus suffered in his love for us - then God can bring us back into full worship of Him.  We can be aware of God's presence, we can know Him deeply, and we can have the eternal life He promises us.
